The Children’s Advocacy Center was developed through the Lackawanna County District Attorney’s Office in 1998.
At present we are serving Lackawanna and eight surrounding counties. Our current location is on the Community Medical Center campus, 1710 Mulberry Street, Scranton, PA 18510.
A multidisciplinary approach is used in the evaluation and investigation of abuse. We collaborate with each Counties’ District Attorney’s Office, Child Protective Services, Law Enforcement and Mental Health.
The goal of the CAC is to prevent further trauma to victims of physical and sexual abuse and neglect by providing professional services in one location. This allows for one interview of the victim to be done, thereby lessening the confusion associated with multiple reporting.
All medical exams (unless victim is in hospital emergency room) and interviews are done at The Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC).
CACNEPA is a 501c3 organization; donations and contributions are tax deductible.
